Dr. Taher Helmy Aldesouky

Dr. Taher is an experienced consultant in general and Laparoscopic surgery. He received his basic medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo 1985, after which he pursued his passion in general surgery with training and qualifications in Ain Shams University Hospitals. He initiated his specialty qualification with Master degree at Ain Shams University, 1990 then completed the fellowship of the royal college of physicians and surgeons from Glasgow-UK in 1997. In 2015, Dr. Taher was elected by the American College of surgeons as ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) instructor and trainer. He also worked as Adjunct Assistant Professor of general surgery in Sharjah University School of Medicine since 2011 until 2022.

In 1990, Dr. Taher moved to UAE, Abu Dhabi to join a multi-specialty tertiary hospital (AL Mafraq Hospital) for 21 years, where he focused and consolidated his experience with comprehensive management of:
– Complex and critical surgical conditions and comorbidities.
– Various laparoscopic and open surgical procedures, elective and emergencies.
– Minimally invasive surgical procedures.
– Trauma management.
