Saudi German Hospital is one of only two internationally accredited comprehensive stroke centers in Sharjah. Our Emergency Room (ER) team sets rigorous standards for care, and we take pride in consistently meeting and even surpassing these benchmarks. Our dedicated staff is well-prepared to meet the demands of the ER, which operates around the clock, seven days a week. Our ER is thoughtfully organized into distinct sections:
Resuscitation Room:
This area is reserved for the immediate treatment of critically ill.
Major Treatment Area:
Designed for the assessment and care of patients with medical conditions and injuries that do not necessitate the resources of the resuscitation room but may still require immediate attention, without being placed in the waiting room or transferred directly to an outpatient department physician.
Pediatric Area:
Tailored to younger patients, this area provides separate treatment cubicles and a negative-pressure isolation room to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

Inside our Emergency Department, you’ll encounter a team of dedicated physicians and nurses working collaboratively to ensure you receive the finest care possible.
The Three Vital Phases:
Triage:
Upon arrival, a triage nurse will evaluate the patient, prioritizing their care based on symptoms and the severity of their illness or injury.
Registration:
A registration clerk will gather necessary patient information, such as name, age, insurance coverage, and current physicians.
Medical Care:
Each patient is assigned to a physician and nurse, but it’s common for them to receive care from multiple professionals and patient care staff members during their visit.
Discharge:
If you’re discharged after treatment, you’ll receive comprehensive written instructions. Any follow-up recommendations from our staff or specialists will also be noted on the form.
In the event that symptoms worsen or change after returning home, patients should promptly contact their primary care physician or revisit our Emergency Department.
