Dr. Haitham Salah Eldin Abdel Razek is an experienced Consultant Pulmonologist and Associate Professor of Pulmonology Medicine at Ain Shams University – Egypt with 20 years of distinguished clinical and academic experience in leading hospitals and institutions.
He combines strong clinical expertise with a solid academic background, ensuring accurate diagnosis, evidence-based management, and high-quality patient-centered care.
Throughout his career, he has managed a wide range of respiratory conditions across all age groups, including complex and critical cases, particularly in acute and emergency settings. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Haitham is actively engaged in teaching, training, and mentoring medical students and junior physicians, contributing to the advancement of pulmonology practice and research.
– Bronchial Asthma: Diagnosis and management of asthma, especially severe & treatment resistent asthma including Asthma Biologics.
– COPD :Including Long-term control and management of acute exacerbations.
– Chronic Cough: Evaluation and management of persistent cough.
– Shortness of Breath (Dyspnea): Assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic dyspnea.
– Infectious Respiratory Diseases: Diagnosis and treatment of respiratory infections including newly emerging viral illness such as COVID-19.
– Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILDs): Evaluation and management of diffuse parenchymal lung.
– Lung Cancer : Screening , early diagnosis and assessment fitness for surgical resection.
– Sleep-Related Respiratory Disorders: Diagnosis and management of sleep apnea and other disorders.
– Respiratory Critical Care: Management of critically ill patients with respiratory failure in ICU settings.
– Pulmonary Function Testing: Performance and interpretation of pulmonary function tests including Spirometry, Body Plethysmography, and FeNO testing.
– Smoking Cessation : Formulating adaptive cessation programs and follow up.
