Dr. Mohamed Sheta, is a consultant Neonatologist and Consultant Pediatrician he has long term experience in neonatal and pediatric medicine for more than 20 years with extensive training program in neonatal medicine. He was granted 3 professional postgraduate certificates in pediatrics and neonatology including ( MRCPCH) , UK, with GMC registration. He is expert in health organization management and holding a professional diploma with registration in Egyptian medical syndicate as a specialist health organisation manager. He has many published articles in internationally recognized journals. He is a speaker in many international pediatrics and neonatal conferences.

Special skills:

• Establishing neonatal and pediatric ECMO/ECLS service at Saudi German hospital.( under processing).
• Functional transthoracic Echocardiography (FTE).

Area of Interest

• Running a successful Pediatric and neonatal clinic.
• Managing all cases of neonatal patients starting from the age of viability 24 weakers and weight of 500 grams and above or even below if the baby delivered viable and respond to neonatal resuscitation effort.
• Managing all NICU cases including postsurgical cases.
• Perform resuscitation for different neonatal cases and post resuscitation management.
• Attend and manage all kinds of high-risk deliveries, as extreme preterm infants, infants with meconium aspiration syndrome, antenatal hemorrhage mother’s delivery, infants with risks of asphyxia, with full capability to resuscitate all kinds of newborn infants as per most updated NRP guidelines, using PPV, ETT intubation, UVC insertion for medications and fluids, chest tube insertion and needle chest drain,
• Safe transfer from delivery room or to NICU, mechanical ventilation connection and setup including all kinds of conventional mechanical ventilation and HFOV settings, Nitric oxide use and PGE1 whenever needed,
• PV access and PIC line insertion, L.P. and CSF sampling, suprapubic aspiration procedures, UAC insertion and peripheral arterial line sampling,
• Therapeutic hypothermia, setup of management of all kinds of neonatal care like, hypoglycemia, neonatal sepsis, respiratory and cardiac problems as PPHN, CHD either a cyanotic or cyanotic , GIT problems, feeding intolerance, CMPA and others,
• Providing support to parents and helping them to understand and make decisions regarding their infant’s condition and treatment.
• Ensuring parents have sufficient opportunities to bond with their infants.
• Conducting research and clinical trials.
• Conducting training program for my staff nurses as well as training for neonatal registrars.
