Dr. Alejandro Manuel Egea Alfonzo

Dr. Egea has been trained as a Urologist at the Domingo Luciani Hospital, Caracas, Venezuela in 2004. Since then his training has been continuous, taking numerous courses with special emphasis on the oncological part and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He moved to Spain since 2009 where he has served as chief of the Urology Service in 2 hospitals.
He practice mainly based on preventive Urology and early diagnosis of urological oncological pathologies. Dedicated to the endoscopic surgical treatment of benign prostatic growth using state-of-the-art techniques, the best treatment for this pathology currently, called Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HOLEP), as well as prevention and medical and endoscopic treatment for urinary tract stone diseases. For prostate cancer (selected cases) he uses minimally invasive techniques with high cure rates such as focal treatment, which only treats the affected area of the prostate.
