Our goal is to provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and professional care for your child to ensure their speedy recovery and overall well-being. Trust us to provide the best possible care for your child's specific needs.
The frequency of paediatrician visits for children can vary depending on the child's age, health, and specific needs. However, the American Academy of Paediatrics (AAP) recommends the following schedule for well-child check-ups:
Newborns: See your paediatrician within the first few days after birth and then at 2-5 days of age. After that, your paediatrician will schedule visits at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months and then annually.
Infants (1-12 months): Â Schedule your visits at 2, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months, and then annually.
Toddlers (1-3 years): Visit your doctor at 15 months, 18 months, and then annually.
Pre-schoolers (3-5 years): It is recommended to visit a paediatrician annually if your kid is 3-5 years old.
school-aged children (5-11 years): An annual visit should be enough.
Adolescents (11-13 years): Your paediatrician will typically schedule visits annually.
It's important to note that the above schedule is just a general guideline and that the frequency of visits may vary depending on the child's specific needs. For example, if your child has a chronic condition such as asthma or diabetes, your paediatrician may want to see them more frequently. Additionally, if your child is not feeling well or is showing signs of an illness, you should schedule an appointment with your paediatrician as soon as possible.
That being said, it's also important to remember that regular check-ups not only allow your paediatrician to monitor your child's growth and development but also allow them to address any concerns or questions you may have about your child's health.
